Obituary

Terry Lee Davis was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack and Stella Hall on January 23, 1935. Terry entered into eternity with the Lord on April 17, 2024 at 89 years of age. Terry met the love of his life Sharon Boggess and they were married on August 24, 1957 in the Chapel of First Methodist Church, the very place we are celebrating Terry's life.

He went to Tulsa Central High School and graduated in 1953. He attended NEO A & M College and played guard for the Vikings who went all the way to the Junior Rose Bowl in California. He earned an associates degree at NEO A & M and went on to Oklahoma A & M College (now known as Oklahoma State University) where he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon. He pursued 2 years of business school there before stepping into the job market. He worked for a few companies before he ventured out on his own as a home builder. Terry enjoyed many successful business endeavors in home building and land development with partners throughout the years who became some of his very best friends. He was honored and recognized on various magazine covers for his home building and development accomplishments and was awarded the prestigious 2022 Legacy Member Award by the Home Builders Association of Tulsa.

Terry was very athletic and excelled in football and wrestling in his school years and thoroughly enjoyed his hunting and fishing adventures with many wonderful friends and family. In later years he enjoyed playing golf including numerous tournaments. Highlights of his golfing days included 3 hole-in-ones with the most significant hole-in-one made on the 17th Hole Par 3 at Pebble Beach.

There was a cowboy side to Terry's life, he owned and operated two large cattle ranches in the late seventies and eighties, he competed in Cutting Horse competitions topped off with some trophies, and dabbled in raising race horses for several years. His 31 acre homestead on 101st and Yale in Tulsa included pasture, a corral, and a full size barn with a few cattle and horses for roundups, mock rodeos, and riding.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon M. Davis of 67 years of marriage, his two sons, Jeff (and his fiance Cynthia Nix) and Brad Davis, (and Brad's wife Sherri Davis), his six grandchildren, Katie Davis, Kristin Slaughter (and her husband Justin), Ryan Davis (and his wife Hailey), Cyndi Watson (and her husband Codye), Whitney Swift (and her husband Keith), and Jeffrey Paul Davis (and his wife Paige.)
