Our beloved mother and grandmother, Theresa Stack, age 86 died on August 20, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
Theresa was born on April 19,1938 in Queens, NY, to parents Emil Henry Hroch and May Solowie. Theresa graduated from Bayside High School in the class of 1955, then furthered her education by obtaining a degree in Bachelor of Science, from New York University. On December 17, 1960, she married Desmond Stack. She had known Desmond for most of her life since they were next door neighbors. They moved to Fremont, Michigan where Desmond had taken a job with Gerber Baby Foods. They relocated several times with Gerbers. Niagara Falls, Canada, Rochester, NY and Fort Smith, Arkansas. For most of her life, she was a home maker. After her daughters had left home, she worked in retail for several years. She enjoyed her family immensely, travelling, music of the 50's and reading. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, generous person.
She is survived by daughters, Karen Gresham of Tulsa, OK and Christine Hagins and her husband Dan Hagins of Broken Arrow, OK; her granddaughters Amanda Richison and Austin Richison of Owasso, OK and Kerry Masters and Curt Masters of Broken Arrow, OK, great grandchildren Raiden and Ace Richison of Owasso, OK and her sister, Janet Gunning of Sun City West, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Desmond Stack and parents, Emil and May Hroch.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10am on August 26, 2024, at Church of St Benedict. Flowers can be sent to Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to John 3:16 or St Jude's Research Hospital.
