Thomas "TC" Campbell, age 80, died on March 28th, 2025, in Tulsa, OK. TC was born on March 1st, 1945, in Hope, AR, to parents James and Neelyn. He grew up in Omaha, NE and graduated from Westside High School in 1963, then furthered his education by obtaining a degree in Economics from Westminster College. After college, he moved to Chicago and accepted a position as an accounting manager at Northern Petrochemical. Chicago is where he met the love of his life, Mary Kay Kurtenbach. They shared 53-love-filled-years of marriage, and he took no greater pride than the pride he felt about the life and family they built together.
TC and Mary Kay established their roots in Tulsa, OK when he accepted a position at Williams Oil and Gas. He grew to become the youngest division president in Williams history, at the time. Several years later, he left Williams to start his own oil and gas company, Petromark Exploration. The business flourished for many years and Tom made lifelong industry friends.
TC had many other business endeavors including Hudson Oil Company, the Arbors Assisted Living, Landpoint Development, and the Iron County Historical Society. Outside of his successful career, he was passionate about Westminster College and was an active member of the Alumni Association. He had a lifelong enthusiasm for music, sports, outdoors, camping, and collecting "things" ... including playing guitar, writing songs, taking nature walks, and in his later years, playing disc golf. His love for the outdoors extended to his Current River float trips and cross-country hiking adventures with friends. Beyond his many hobbies, his greatest joy came from sharing laughter and cherished moments with his beloved family and friends.
Tom enjoyed spending summers at the lake and going on camping trips with his wife and three daughters that always included singing around the campfire and non-stop laughter. He loved his 7 grandkids fiercely. Papa T never missed an activity, spent time sharing stories like the Groovy Dragon, playing games, and entertaining them. His family was at the heart of everything, as evident by his passion for being the family historian. He was a born storyteller demonstrated during years of cherished family reunions in Ironton, Missouri.
TC's dedication to his wife, children, and grandchildren was unmatched. He was always supportive, always present, truly lived his life to the fullest and left us the best piece of advice for supporting one another, "Be there".
He will be deeply missed by his wife Mary Kay of Tulsa, OK; three daughters, Shannon (Ben) Juen of Tulsa, OK, Kelly (Jason) Spiva of Jenks, OK, Erin (Isaac) Daniel of Bentonville, AR; seven grandchildren, Courtney Juen, Hailey Juen, Dylan Juen, Kate Spiva, Kylie Spiva, Hadley Daniel, Sutton Daniel; one sister, Cindy (John) Tully of Omaha, NE; one brother, Mike (Ann) Campbell of Wilson, Wyoming; one sister-in-law, Lynette Campbell of Omaha, NE; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents James and Neelyn Campbell, and brother, Ron Campbell.
