Thomas Page peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 30 after a brief illness. Born October 10, 1928, he was the second of three children born to Vern and Nida Page. He graduated from McCune Rural High School in 1946 and attended some college.
Thomas married the love of his life, Eloise (Prokop) Page on October 16, 1948. They were happily married for fifty-five years until her death in 2004.
Thomas served in the Wichita Fire Department his entire career, beginning as a firefighter, and retiring as Deputy Chief. He and Eloise moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where they were active parishioners of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Bella Vista. They enjoyed square dancing, dinner parties with their many friends and traveling the United States in their RV.
Thomas lived every day to the fullest. He loved to tell a good story, and joke with his family and friends. Never one to willingly sit around, he loved to fish, read, golf, bowl, travel, play pool, dominos, poker, and card games. He worked Sudoku puzzles in pen in record time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Frank Page, sister-in-law, Marcella Page, sister, Charlene Parsons, brother-in-law, Lyle Parsons, daughter, Sandy, son-in law, Steve Hutchinson, and great-nephew. Thomas is survived his sons, Harry Page (Geraldine), Jack L. Page (Marycarol), grandchildren, Virgil Miller (Laura), Vincent Miller (Janelle), Frank Miller (Georgia), William Miller, Tom Page (Colleen Thurston), Michael Page (Asheley), Veronica Page (Eryn Clement), Catherine Page (Anthony Sekinger), Aaron Vierthaler (Lori Vierthaler), eighteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces as well as numerous friends.
A Rosary will be held at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, Tulsa, Friday, September 15, 2023, 7 p.m. and Funeral Mass will be Saturday, September 16, 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Tulsa.
The family wishes to thank Millenium Home Health and Hospice and Porta Caeli for the wonderful, devoted care they provided Thomas in his final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Porta Caeli or Millenium Home Health and Hospice.
