Obituary

Timothy Hardin Dennehy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the age of 81. He was born in Tulsa, Okla., to Joseph and Nona Dennehy. He was born at St. John Hospital, where he later worked as a physician for more than 30 years, delivering thousands of babies and caring for thousands of patients.
Tim attended Marquette Catholic School from first grade through high school, graduating in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1953, and then earned a bachelor's of science degree from the University of Tulsa in pre-med in 1956. Tim graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1960, followed by his internship and residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Tim married Mary Gormley, a registered nurse, in June 1957. During their nearly 56 years of marriage, they raised four children, traveled extensively, enjoyed friends, family and especially each other.
He worked in private practice in Tulsa from 1964 to 1992. During retirement, he served 10 years as a volunteer physician at the Neighbor for Neighbor Free Clinic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Wilson, brothers Joe, Bart and Dennis. He is survived by his love and best friend Mary; son Luke Dennehy of Tulsa; daughter Susan Conrad and her husband, Kyle of Oklahoma City; daughter Anne Miller and husband, Ken of Lawrence, Kan.; daughter Sara Delgado and husband, Jorge of Tulsa; granddaughters Emily and Katie Conrad, Grace Miller and grandson Finn Delgado.
The family requests memorials be made to Marquette School or Neighbor for Neighbor in Tulsa.
