Tristan Nathan Taylor was born July 16th, 2004, to Tristan and Erin Taylor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He departed this life on March 13, 2025. He was known to his friends as Tristan, but his family always called him Nate.
He attended Union Public Schools from 2009 through 2022.
Tristan loved football, the Oklahoma Sooners specifically, and over the years went to games with his Papa and family. He also attended football and basketball games with his GPa at Oklahoma State and Tulsa Drillers baseball. He loved playing Madden and sports games on gaming consoles with his brother, Terran, swimming at his Nana's, and playing basketball with his sister. He played for the "Cowboys" team while in grade school as a running back and wide receiver. He scored many touchdowns during his time with the team.
Being taller than most kids his age, he also enjoyed playing and watching basketball, including the Oklahoma City Thunder. He attended games when he could and even attended a summer camp with Russell Westbrook and had the opportunity to meet Dwight Powell with the Dallas Mavericks.
Tristan was a people person, and never met a stranger, a trait he inherited from many of his family members. He made friends easily and had a lot of them. He was also very giving and wanted others to have what they needed, even if it meant he went without.
He loved his family and enjoyed going on vacations, especially to "The Beach".He also loved spending time with his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents, as he was from a large family. He spent countless hours with his GPa and Nana and enjoyed getting double dip strawberry shortcake sundaes.
He is survived by his Mother, Erin Taylor, Father, Tristan Taylor, Brother, Terran Taylor and Sister, Trinity Taylor. Other Surviving family members include Nana, Priscilla Schiller, GPa, Don Schiller, Papa, Morris Griffin, Nini, Anita Griffin, Grandma, Earnestine Haastrup, Grandfather, Emmanuel Haastrup, many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members that loved him dearly.
