Valietta Blevins, age 88, died on September 14, 2026, in Tulsa, OK.

Valietta was born on February 14, 1938 in Ada, OK, to parents A. D. King and Irene Knox King. She graduated from Valley Springs (AR) High School in the class of 1955, then furthered her education at Draughn's Business School.

She worked at Security Bank in Harrison, AR before moving to Tulsa, OK in 1960 where she worked at First National Bank. On June 3, 1962, she married Rich Blevins, and they made their home in Tulsa, OK.

Valietta was a member of First Baptist Church. She was deeply involved in playing tennis at Philcrest, gathering friends to join her in a game of bridge, and watercolor and acrylic painting for the majority of her life. She also enjoyed exploring her Scottish roots through genealogy research. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother and grandmother affectionately known as Nana, who loved exchanging stories and feeding those who visited her.

She is survived by her children Kendra Blevins and Richard Blevins, as well as her grandchildren Lauren Kirk, Ash Blevins, and Kendal Blevins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Alice King, her brothers Harold and Donald King, her daughter Kellie Kirk, and her husband Rich Blevins.

A graveside funeral is scheduled for 11am on Wednesday, September 23, at Calvary Cemetery.
