KOMMA - Vedna Imogene (Jean and "Meme") passed away October 7, 2009. Jean was born October 12, 1919 to Lewis Alvin Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She married Joseph Eugene Komma on April 22, 1939 at St. Francis Church in Tulsa. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1988, after 49 years of marriage.
Ms. Komma was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Paul E. Edwards, Lloyd A. Edwards, Curtis C. Edwards, Maxine Cherry and Lorene Brightmire.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara & Hurst Swiggart and two granddaughters, Lisa (Kenton) Gray and Leslie (Karl) Krause. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A mass will be celebrated at Calvary Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, October 10 at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
