Obituary
Vida Marie Chambers, 81 years old, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Mansfield, Texas.
Vida was born in Kellyville, Oklahoma on July 20, 1936 to Brown and Verla (Staiger) Begley. She was the third child of five children.
She met her husband, Lynn Chambers, in Hobbs, New Mexico and they were married on July 11, 1958. She worked at GMAC in Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years in the Accounting Department. Vida lived the majority of her life in Oklahoma and moved to Texas to be near her two daughters.
Vida was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was loved by all her family and friends. She was known as Mom or Nana to all her daughter's and grandchildren's friends.
Vida was preceded in death by her husband Lynn Chambers; brother Jack Begley; sister Glendora Jaco; brother-in-law Norman Jaco; nephew Rafe Begley and son-in-law Robert Kilgore.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Calvert and Karen Kilgore; brother Jim Begley; sister-in-law Judy Begley; sister Kay Beth Allen, brother-in-law Jim Allen, sister-in-law Chris Begley; grandson Brannon Calvert; granddaughter Samantha Calvert; great-granddaughter Burklea Calvert and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137, 918-291-3500.
