ELIAS, Violet Sylvia, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in Tulsa, OK. She was born August 4, 1917 in East Prairie, MO to Oscar Shute and Alice Ahart Shute. She was Co-Owner of Eddy's Steakhouse along with her husband of 63 years, Edward Joseph Elias, who preceded her in death. Violet was active in bridge clubs, loved to travel all over the world and was a fabulous cook, she was known as "Queen of the Family". She was a member of Church of the Madalene and President of the Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gary Elias, Sr., brothers, Bill and Earl Shute and sister, Dorella Burgess. She is survived by sons; Eddy Elias, Jr., Herb Elias (Dorothy), Chris Elias (Patricia), Alan Elias, and Steve Elias; daughter, Janet Ritenour; and her baby sister, Doris Ghan (Don), 42 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
