Virginia "Ginny" Scott, 92, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on September 12, 2026, in Leesburg, Virginia. She was a beloved and respected daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a treasured legacy of laughter and love.

Born in March 1934 near New York's picturesque Finger Lakes region, Ginny was the first daughter of Joel and Dorothy Carroll. Growing up, Ginny developed her love for the Lord, music, reading and languages. She graduated from high school in 1952 and earned an associate degree in languages from a private women's college in Missouri in 1954. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from a top California university in 1958 and was teaching elementary school when she met her best friend and the love of her life, Chuck. They were married for 65 years.

While Ginny got her start in education teaching elementary school, she took a break from the classroom to answer the call of motherhood. During these years, Ginny would volunteer in church, school, extracurricular activities and sports - wherever the family or the need was. For her second act she taught Spanish and Music in a Montessori school until retirement.

Always one to share a laugh, a story, a loving touch, a prayer, or a cup of coffee with a splash of music and singing, Ginny never knew a stranger. Her family and friends will always treasure the stories of her world travels, her recollections of her nativity collections, her witty word banter and her precious smile.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Chuck; her younger sister, Joy; her son Stephen, and two infant grandsons, Jonathan and James. Continuing on to cherish her memory, Ginny leaves her son Darren; her daughter Alicia and son-in-love Rob; her granddaughter Cheryl and grandson-in-love Franco, and great-granddaughters Lucia and Sofia; her niece, Cindy and husband, Dick, and nephew Bruce and wife Suzanne.

After a service in Leesburg, Virginia, a graveside service will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
