Obituary
McAulay, Walter J., 91 years old, died Thursday, August 25, 2011. Walter was born in Muskogee, OK on October 23, 1919. He is preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ellen McAulay; his children, Maureen Mello, Charon Blood, Sheila Mello, Margaret Clark and Jerry McAulay; his sisters Agnes Cox and Helen Hoagland; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Walter graduated from Holy Family High School and went on to graduate from the University of Tulsa. He was a certified public accountant and spent the majority of his career at Ceja Oil Corporation. He and Ellen were founding members of St. Mary's Catholic Church and he was a member of the Equestrian Order. Walter and Ellen were long time members of the Oaks Country Club.
The Rosary will be held at Fitzgerald's Southwood Colonial Chapel, Sunday, August 28th at 7:00pm. Funeral is planned for Monday, August 29th at 10:00am at the Church of St. Mary, 1347 E. 49th Pl.
A special thanks to the Montereau Wellness Center nursing staff and Grace Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice.
