Born August 28, 1936 to Joseph
and Mary (Simpson) Mickey, William
Mickey was the husband
to Elizabeth Mickey and father
to Timothy Joseph Mickey and
Cathy Burdick. He had an endless
amount of love for his four
grandchildren, Maurie and Christian
Mickey, and Caitlin and Erica
Burdick. William, known as Bill
to friends and family, passed away
peacefully on September 18, 2013
around 5:30 PM surrounded by
love and family members. Bill had battled
lung cancer for the last year.

Upon his return
from service in Thailand during the
Viet Nam War, Bill went to work in the energy
field, first with KPL, then with NRECA
in Washington DC, with Tri-State
G&T, serving Colorado, Wyoming,
and Nebraska, then to GRDA. His
experience in the energy field led
to a second career as an energy
consultant to industry.

To honor
his military service, his burial
will be at the National Cemetery
at Fort Gibson following a Funeral
Mass at St. Francis Catholic
Church at 11:00 AM, Monday,
September 23. There will be a reception
preceding the service at
the Activity Center at the church. A Rosary
will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, September
22 at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel.
