William Edward Morris III, 76, entered eternity surrounded by his family on June 28th, 2010. He retired in 2002 after 48 proud years with Murray Womble Company of Tulsa as President and Chief Executive Officer. Eddie was a die-hard TU fan. As an all around avid athlete, he received many honors and awards throughout his lifetime, but his proudest moment was being inducted into the University of Tulsa Hall of Fame.
He his survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sandra Riffe Morris. He was loving father to six children; Brian Morris, Leslie Stephens, Amy Heil, Jeff Morris, Danny Morris, and special Papa to ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Eddie will always be remembered as a passionate friend and a mentor to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, W.E. Morris Jr. and Virginia Dix, son, Mark Morris and granddaughter Victoria Heil. A viewing will be held on Tuesday June, 29th from 5-7pm followed by a rosary at 7:00pm both at Fitzgerald's, 3612 E. 91st. St, Tulsa, Ok.
