William "Bill" Parle, 73, passed away on June 4, 2016 after a protracted illness. Bill is predeceased by his parents, William Parle and Sarah Nellis, and his brother Jon Parle.
Bill is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Antoinette "Toni" Lempicki of 33 years, sister-in-law, Nancy Parle, nephew Alex Parle, niece Suzanna Parle Pechera, great nieces and nephew, and the rest of his family and friends.
Bill was a professor emeritus in the Political Science Department at Oklahoma State University with a specialty in fire and emergency management and served as Department Head for several years. He had a Master's Degree in Public Administration from The College of William and Mary and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. Bill was an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction, scuba diver and instructor, traditional archer, and loved to travel and experience adventures.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialist and Research Institute, 12697 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK 74146.
