Obituary

William Langdon Peacher was born on May 31, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama and passed on December 20, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He entered Heaven the way he lived his life - with faith, courage, dignity, and honor. At age six, Bill moved to Kansas City and eventually settled in Tulsa when he was 15 years old. He graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School and attended Oklahoma State University. There he found a new family with his Delta Tau Delta brothers. Oklahoma State University was also where he met the love of his life, Lynn Ridge. Bill and Lynn married in 1969 and moved to Boston where Bill attended the Harvard Business School. Bill and Lynn were married for 54 wonderful years. Their daughters, Dana and Amy, were the light of his life. Bill attended their gymnastics meets, dance recitals, and everything in between, as his family was his top priority.

Bill began his career in finance in Tulsa at Skelly Oil Company. He then worked with Frank Podpechan at Skye Resources and later became president of Hickory Coal Company. In 1997 Bill accepted a position with the Walton family investment banking firm in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Bill also established his own financial consulting company in Tulsa, and the NORDAM Group was one of his clients. Eventually hired by NORDAM, Bill was CFO, COO, and ultimately CEO of the company. Bill was dedicated to the success of NORDAM and the Siegfried family.

Bill served on several boards, including NORDAM, U.S. Payments, the Oklahoma Teacher Retirement Board (Chairman), the Tulsa City County Library Commission (Chairman), and the building committee for the new Central Library. He also served as the financial advisor for the construction of new Delta Tau Delta Fraternity house at OSU.

In retirement Bill enjoyed skiing, golf, tennis, and entertaining at their lake house. At any OSU sporting event, Bill boisterously cheered for his beloved Pokes! He was also a staunch supporter of the OSU School of Education. Bill was the proudest Granddad on the planet and rarely missed an event in his grandchildren's lives. Arguing about politics was a favorite pastime. Bill was a dedicated member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church for 50 years before recently joining First Presbyterian Church. Born with the heart of a lion, Bill lived life with unrelenting determination and a joyous spirit.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Metta Peacher, and his brother, David. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; his sister, Martha Fleming (Bill); his daughters, the Hon. Dana Kuehn (Patrick) and Amy Tingleaf (Clark); his six grandchildren, Carter, Chris, Piper, Zachary, Nicholas, and Langdon. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-laws, the Bralys, Bradleys, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
