William "Bill" Galeard Rinehart, 94, died on 10/21/25 in Tulsa, OK.
A long-term resident of Tulsa, Bill was born in Wichita, KS on 11/12/30 to W.G. Rinehart and Winifred Lyons Rinehart. He was raised in Pittsburgh, KS where his father was a medical doctor. While studying at the University of Kansas he met his wife, Diana Sherwood. His master's degree in chemistry took him to Southeast Texas where he and Diana raised four sons.
Employment with Chevron as a Director of Public Affairs moved Bill and Diana to Tulsa in 1979, where he worked until his retirement in 1995. He was a docent at The Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, a member of the Chevron/Texaco Retirees Association, the Republican Mens Club, and an enthusiastic University of Kansas Alumni.
Since 2016, he has been a resident of the Montereau retirement community where he continued to love the Jayhawks, golf, billiards and dancing with Marjory.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diana Sherwood Rinehart; son Jeffrey Charles Rinehart and his siblings Robert J Rinehart and Ann Rinehart Thomas, as well as his cherished dog, Winston.
He is survived by his sons, Bill, Corbin, and Todd; daughter-in-laws, Donna, Barbara, and Robbie; as well as his grandchildren and their spouses and significant others; Walt (Elissa), Max, Christina, Cassy (Matt), Anna(Evan), Shelby(Taylor), Shaena (Garrett) great-granddaughter Evie and several nieces and nephews.
