Obituary

William Hunkin Winter died in his sleep on Monday, September 9, 2013, after a short illness. He was born on November 20, 1965, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where his father taught physics at OSU for several years before moving his family to Tulsa in 1971.

Will attended Holland Hall and graduated in 1984. He then attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, from which he graduated in 1989.

Will was a free spirit and lover of the good life. He was an accomplished musician, an excellent photographer and a many-faceted entrepreneur. He is survived by his mother Josephine Winter of Tulsa, his brother Tom of Sao Paolo, Brazil, brother Frank and wife, Jennifer, of Telluride, Colorado, his sister Clare also of Telluride, several nieces, and one nephew. He was much loved by them and his many friends and will be sorely missed by one and all.

Will's memory will be honored at a Memorial Service at Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 S. Cincinnati, Tulsa, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, followed by a reception at The Summit.

In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes can honor Will's memory with contributions to the Iron Gate ministry of Trinity Episcopal Church.
